| Post subject: Drew Knows! Gaby Knows! |
Drew doesn't just look like a girl now, he has developed so much more as a she than Drew has ever developed as a he.
In Worsap, he had his mates, in Germany he has the girls. His mannerisms have been developing as feminine each hour he spends with his new 'girl-friends' and with all the feminine reinforcement he is getting, no wonder Drew is fastly disappearing.
No more Drew for me because I can only see Gaby no matter what I read in this story now.
Gaby has her moments as Drew, but if everyone really reads this they will see that Drew no longer exists, but only for brief times and none of those times are very pleasant. Drew takes the fore and instant tears, depression, negative feelings, confusion, and the need for help screams, out from his mind. He seeks out comfort, love, and slips back into Gaby mode as he is cuddled, loved, and cooed to by his sister, mother, and even dad now.
Let's face the facts, for a long time now Drewbie has been developing physically and 'mentally' as a girl. His physical development is the loudest clue we have been given by her madness Maddy!
If he just suffered from a case of gynecomastia, that would be one thing. He isn't though! All along he has been fully developing as a female. Remember shopping for school uniforms? Nothing fit because of his bum, wide hips, and tiny waist. This is the clue that he has a very big hormonal problem if he really is a boy at all.
His body is not recognizing any of his testosterone, and I repeat what I said earlier. He has not had an erection in so long I doubt if he could have one if he wanted too!
As the hormones his body is recognizing flood his system, and now that he has reached this age of full flowing puberty, his brain as well as his body are being bombarded 24/7!
Drew always did have a nack at just picking up the mannerisms of the people he hangs with. I can picture him now can't you? His walk, the way he holds his hands, the thing he does with his hair, the looks and expressions he gives automatically without even thinking about it...The list goes on if you pick up on those things in this wonderful story.
If Drew concentrated every second of every day to just act like the male Drew is expected to act by other males, he would loose badly! He would be branded as a POOF, a Nancy-Boy, and Drew would go catatonic, or commit suicide. No one, not even himself can change him into a male. At least not a male that would be recognized by others as a 'real' man.
With a non-working sex organ...well, not working as a young man needs it to work anyway, what hope does he have without intensive intervention by the medical field? NONE!
Drewbie is gone, it has been too long of time without any medical intervention to stop his development into a full fledged female now. Even if they started tomorrow, it would not be soon enough to help Drew. It is just too late for that.
His parents dropped the ball if they really wanted Drew to remain a boy. I think his mother knows that and has always known Drew is a girl inside. His dad? Well, he knows it's to late for medical intervention now. His little talks, his thoughts, and how he treats Drewbie says it all.
How about his sister Jules? He's almost always Gaby to her now, no matter how he's dressed and he's always dressed at least under his clothes as a female. I wonder what his panties and bras look like? Are they just plain white cotton, and white cotton sports bras? NOPE!
Face it folks! Drewbie is just a flash character in this story now! Gaby is here and she is the one growing and developing into a wonderful, beautiful, young woman.
The latest race? Holy crap Batman! Just a little dribble, and that is not like Drewbie at all! He always describes his races in detail and never is satisfied or happy when he finishes second, especially third! I must admit to being very disappointed with the lack of a descriptive race!
Of course these are just my humble unedumicated opinions on these matters.
As far as Mr. Woods...How was Drew/Gaby dressed when Woody saw him/her? The hug and the tears is another clue as to the state of Drew's/Gaby's mind.
Thunk about it!
Hugs
AAARD

aaardvark,
I don't agree with your interpretation on several points, but I don't have time to debate right now, and I will also grant that yours is a possible interpretation.
HOWEVER, there is something important I would like to impress upon you ...
This website has TEN distinct forums.
http://www.gabyzone.com/modules.php?op= ... file=index
Your subject is NOT a "Miscellaneous - Off Topic" subject -- it should have been posted either in "Gaby - Characters" or in "Gaby - Story Plots." I would lean towards "Characters."
EDIT: Thanks, Piper, for moving the thread! |

After thinking about it overnight, I decided that I won't debate you on this topic either here or on the "Homesick" chapter thread.
About a year ago there was quite a bit of discussion on Drew's bodily development between those who imagined him as boyish as possible for mistaken idenitity to occur, and those who imagined him as girlish as possible yet still be legally a boy (and POVs in between).
If memory serves, the discussion upset Her Maddesty.
If you want to PM me, I will explain -- briefly -- just a couple of thumbnail reasons for why I interpret the stories the way I do.
Other than that, to each his own.
OTOH, if I or you make some factual mistake when recalling something in a chapter, I hope somebody will recall the event correctly.
And it is good to hear different interpretations. It makes one think more deeply about the stories.

Drew's knickers?

Good point Aard. I reckon that as Draby chooses to wear girl's underthings for comfort, s/he would go for something fairly plain made of cotton. For knickers I would think s/he would like something from the Sloggi range—very popular in Germany I believe; I find Sloggi knickers very comfortable (unlike Soggy knickers!! ) and they also make excellent sports bras. As for colour, Draby probably goes for white, although Sloggi do offer pale blue, pink, black and "skintone" as alternatives.
What does anyone else think?
Hugs

Interesting to note that there's no disagreement on what kind of "unders" Drew is wearing to school. Not surprising really. The implication being that it is still more comfortable that way which tells us that things haven't "reverted" (not that anyone expected that).
Now, the question becomes is Drew still wearing the same "baggy" clothing he was wearing to school in Warsop? Or has he shifted to clothing that shows more than "hints" at his developments... (Well, when he's purportedly in MALE mode.) |

At my school we always had to wear navy-blue bloomers, didn't you? what today's kids would regard as decidedly uncool! In fact, come to think of it they were rather too warm (literally)

Does not the chapter title say it all ?
This chapter seems to have a different mood to the many others where the bike events are described in exciting detail. I too would like to hear more but the comments seem appropriate in context. |

Me, I don't believe that Maddy will have Drew succumb and become Gaby full time. Part of the charm of the Drew/Gaby saga is Drew's angst at people thinking he is a girl. Wait until he returns to Warsop and Clive tries to kiss him. Then Drew will emerge and set things right. |

Love the story of Drew and how he/she is trying to become who he/she is really. Drew is a boy until he finally realizes that his body is becoming entirely female- then realizing that with the help of his family he can become Gaby for good if he is destined to be a sweet female for real. Drew is more real to me than even i realize- one of the reason i love the story. your toni always with love, hugs and kisses and prayer for the very best for everyone always- love to be a friend to everyone here- and would love Drew as a brother/sister no matter what happens |

As can be sen in three fan-fictions, Drew has become Gaby [The Trilogy- P.B. Drew's Meltdown, and Sharp's many Gaby stories.
In all of the other stories,Drew IS Drew. As I have said before, Maddy is the creator of the Drew/Gaby story, and I doubt that she will change Drew. |

I know this is an old thread but I have to post in it. I haven't read any of the fan fics but I for one think that Gabby is coming out more than Drew. I forget which chapter it was but someone had said that Drew just screamed girl even when he was trying to be Drew. That would be in part because of how his body is developing but I would think that his/her mannerisms come into play too. Like how he sits and stands. I think at this point we can safely say that Gabby is the one that's out most of the time and we only really see Drew in his mind as he/she struggles to come to terms with this. Just my two cents worth. |
